Marla Fields has a degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin and is co-author of , “Fresh Off the Couch, What You Didn't Know About Fitness Makes All the Difference”, and co-founder of “Cognitive Fitness”. Cognitive Fitness consults, creates and delivers workshops to educate fitness enthusiasts and personal trainers on what works to increase an individuals' fitness. Educating and Motivating groups by dispelling fitness myths and utilizing the newest fitness information. Marla has also worked as writer and producer in television and film in Los Angeles, California.

Cris Kessler, MSW, ACE Certified Personal Trainer, is co-author of , “Fresh Off the Couch", and co-founder of “Cognitive Fitness” a company dedicated to bringing fitness to everyone who wants it. Cris is also an adjunct faculty member at the University of Washington Graduate School of Social Work and faculty for the William Glasser Institute. She is a Heart Zones Master Trainer, indoor cycling instructor, and Personal Trainer at "American Athlete" in Seattle.Cris has been an Educator and Social Worker for over two decades. She has raced in triathlons for the last 12 years, finishing in the TOP three in her weight and age class for both Olympic and Half Ironman distances.
