Measuring Your Success!

How do you know when you are fit?  First of all there is no one definition for fitness. It is always a combination of how your strength, flexibility and endurance serve YOU in your current goals. A woman at 9 months into a pregnancy is perfectly fit to give birth but NOT to run a marathon. So how do you know when you are fit?

Currently many use the Body Mass Index (BMI) to judge their fitness. It sounds official and it appears in your Doctor's office so it must be useful, Right???? However did you know that this measure was invented around 1830 by a statistician? Even the Math Guy on NPR as taken to time to debunk it's use.
Top Ten Reasons Why the BMI is Bogus

The best place to measure your success is to start with your goals in the context of your life and we recommend that Fun be a major consideration as you evaluate and set your goals!!!   - CK
