The Longevity Project and Exercise - Surprising findings

The findings in the "Longevity Project" support the ideas in "Fresh Off the Couch" where balanced, taking it slow and focusing on fun activity is the key when it comes to a fit lifestyle. This new book suggests it may also be a key to a longer life.

From an article by  DAN RESTIONE on Northwest.com on the " The Longevity Project" released tomorrow.

"While the government recommends at least four 30 minute sessions of moderate to intense exercise per week, Friedman and Martin found that kind of dedication is not the way. If you want to, great. But just getting off the couch and doing some low impact stuff like gardening or walking does just fine, maybe better. Being active in middle age is the key."   - MF
