Do Toning Shoes Work?

Do Toning shoes work?  
The more you walk in your toning shoes, the more your leg muscles, thighs and buttocks get toned.  So that's good right?  Turns out it's just the movement that tones your legs, thighs, and buttocks, NOT the (really expensive) shoes. Many of us who bought those "special toning sandals" in the 1980's could have told you that.  


So why is the promise of special toning shoes so alluring?  Marketing...in this case, deceptive marketing. And there is lots of deceptive marketing out there so unfortunately its buyer beware.  On the good side, as you begin to see through the deceptive marketing, you will see there is less and less special equipment you need to get fit.  Just going out and doing something active and fun is key!

  1. While I don't think they "tone" they have been good for me knee.. and that has gotten me off the couch!! LOL
