Motivation through negativity and fear is a thinking error

Fitness motivation can begin with a negative thought that spurs us to a positive reaction. Although at first the negativity can seem like a great source from which push yourself forward toward your goals, if we keep going back to this negative well to motivate ourselves, the negativity and fear can lead us into increased anxiety and added stress. This negative loop is a thinking error.

Counteracting negative thoughts are paramount to increasing health and fitness. The First step is recognizing the negative thinking error and not allowing it free reign in your mind.  The counteraction begins with cultivating positive thoughts around movement.  It can be as simple as focusing on even the smallest positive feeling.  In the big picture,  ending the negative thinking error and motivating yourself toward your fitness goals by moving towards the positive, makes a big difference in overall health!
